Dear ’23,
Just a few words this week…
If you’d like to request a peer tutor for help with the content of your course materials, the link is here: https://www.wesleyan.edu/studentaffairs/resources/peertutoring/tutor-request-form.html
If you’d like help with time/work management, note-taking, test-taking, study skills, etc., we have three wonderful Academic Peer Advisors that work with our class year, and I would be glad to refer you to them. Just send me a note.
If you’re thinking that one of your courses is causing you tremendous stress and is eating up your time/effort, it might make sense to withdraw from it. If you’d like to talk about that, I’d be glad to meet. Also, here is the form for your reference: https://wesfiles.wesleyan.edu/departments/Reg/Forms/Public/DropAddWithdrawalForm.pdf
Finally, I wanted to send separate links to all of the tips and strategies that I’ve sent so far this term so that you could call them up if you needed:
-Five Ways to Have a Successful First Term
-Time Management: 5 Tips and Tricks
–5 Ways to Improve your Reading Comprehension and Effectiveness
-10 Ways to Improve your Note-Taking Skills
-11 Tips and Strategies for Writing College Papers
That’s it for now! Have a lovely Homecoming/Family Weekend and just know that I’m here if you need anything.
Best,
DW
