Library Services for the Spring

Hello, everyone,

As the spring semester begins, I write to remind you of the current shape of library services as well as spotlight some news of note.

We anticipate opening Olin and Science for regular semester hours beginning Feb 22nd, pending campus conditions. In the meantime, please consult the Library During Covid web page for the latest information on services and hours.

I thought you might be interested in the following:

  • Center for Research Libraries

Wesleyan is now a member of the Center for Research Libraries, an international consortium focused on unique primary source materials in both physical and digital form, encompassing the humanities, sciences, and social sciences.  CRL collection records are integrated into One Search so access is often a click away.

  • Popular Newspaper Subscriptions

We have added the Financial Times to our roster of popular newspaper subscriptions, which include the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Chronicle of Higher Education, and Middletown Press. These instructions will get you started with either web or mobile access for each paper.

  • Collections Updates

We are launching a new page on the library site as a gathering space for all notable changes to online and print resources: http://wescollections.blogs.wesleyan.edu/category/collections-updates/

Finally, on behalf of the entire library organization, thank you for your support, understanding, and patience during the pandemic. As always, please reach out to your liaison or me at any time with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

With best wishes for the semester,

-Andrew
